There’s a common misconception in design that traditional or colonial homes can’t or shouldn’t be modernized, but I’m here to tell you if done correctly, the end result will be absolutely beautiful!

Take a look at the before and after on this stunning living room where we started with a paint job, swapped out the chandelier, and added new furnishings + decor that fit the space both functionally and aesthetically. We did all of these things without losing sight of the traditional, colonial style and natural beauty of the room, rather, we enhanced it ♡

A couple quick, unstaged iPhone snaps of a no demo reno kitchen refresh! Sometimes, we don’t need all new everything to update a space: My clients already had gorgeous kitchen cabinetry that didn’t need replaced. Rather, we felt the existing countertops and backsplash actually detracted from how beautiful the cabinetry and other elements in the kitchen were.

We just made 4 simple changes in this kitchen: We ditched the existing granite and upgraded to @msisurfaces quartz, replaced the outdated backsplash for a picket tile from @thetileshop, upgraded the stainless sink for a white cast iron option from @kohler, and finally, brightened up the walls with a custom paint blend from @sherwinwilliams 🙌🏼 Could we have done more? Sure! But we didn’t *need* to, so we didn’t!

A home gym with all the essentials 💪🏼 We transformed this cold and dark workout area to a space you *actually* want to spend time in!

We used custom black metal french doors for the wow factor to enter the room, commercial rubber gym flooring to protect the concrete floors, 3x full length mirrors to give that true gym feel, mounted TV for entertainment, and double doors to the hidden storage area behind the gym for easy access to all the big items my clients wanted out of sight! And, of course, we finished the space with a Peloton, treadmill, weights, yoga + stretching area as well.

When you think of a basement bedroom, is this was comes to mind? My clients wanted to ensure this basement guest suite would feel inviting and warm for all those who come to stay at their home. Creamy tones with hints of green, leather, and brass textured accents makes for the coziest of spaces ✨

A moody basement bar with a little something for e

A moody basement bar with a little something for everyone! Together with my remodel team, we designed and installed this 13’ wet bar in an a previously unfinished basement with the whole family in mind: We included dual beverage centers (one for the adults and one for the kids), plenty of enclosed storage for beverage spillover + a pull out trash cabinet, quartz countertops, bar sink, stacked glass feature cabinets to store bar ware, custom shiplap and shelving to display the incredible bourbon and wine collections, sconces to illuminate the space!

Whew - the finished product is absolutely amazing! We had a lot of fun with this project from start to finish ✨ And yes, I’ll be sharing the other spaces you’re seeing in these photos as well!
